26. To not feel my fat jiggle again!
27. So I can look in the mirror from the neck down and like what I see.

80. So I can go into public and not care what type of looks I get.
81. So I can sit on a bar stool and I'm actually sitting ON it, not on it and around it too.
82. So a regular towel goes all the way around me, and maybe even looks cute.
83. So my socks pull all the way up.
84. So I can hug my knees to my chest again, and it’s comfortable.
85. So I can sit on a chair, and have my feet on that chair too, and not be sitting on them.
86. So I can wear a low cut sweater and my collarbones show.
87. So I can wear a light blouse or sweater, and there aren't dents where my bra straps are.
88. So I don't have to worry about arthritis or joint replacement when I get older.

JUICING FOR HEALTH - ANEMIA
Juicing is proven to be beneficial for overall health. Sometimes, there is a specific ailment that needs special treatments. Anemia is a common problem with vegetarians. There is a surprising amount of iron in the "right" vegetables. Here is a recipe I used frequently to help fight anemia.
* 2 handsfull spinach
* 1 handfull kale
* 2 carrots
* 1 handful romaine lettuce leaves
* 1 tsp spirulina
* parsley leaves to garnish
Juice the spinach, kale, carrots, lettuce. Stir in the spirulina and garnish with parsley leaves and serve.
Note: I keep all vegetables in the refrigerator to have cold juice. You may want to add a few ice cubes to the drink.

Back on Track
The scale is finally moving. I know my colon is just not clean. Have been doing a lot of reading on the internet. A healthy colon releases waste every time a person eats. If I don't do something to help it, I may not have a bowel movement for 3 or 4 days. Not good. It is said that obese people may have up to 50 pounds of fecal matter stuck in their colon.
I am going to research the best and fastest colon cleanse. I just can't do a 90 day cleanse. Keep juicing. Keep eating raw. Wait for the results.

Rewards Are Good!

The liar scale absolutely stopped moving. I am disgusted. However, I will never give up until this quest is finally over.
Deciding that this is the year I take back my life(2009), I need to stay on course to release the weight. There has to be permanent changes to lose the weight and keep it off. I need to make a life change FOREVER! I'm in this to win. So now what. There needs to be motivation so to reward myself for my goals this is what I've done so far:
290 - Start weight No reward
280 - New shoes, cheap comfortable slip-ons.
270 - Book (Never be sick again, by Raymond Francis, M.Sc.
260 - Exercise t-shirt
250 - Perfume
240 - Earrings
230 - New outfit including strappy sandal shoes (outfit for upcoming vacation)
220 - Dress
More rewards to follow. The scale is acting so ugly, I'm afraid to dream.

Benefits of Bananas

Bananas contain three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose - combined with fiber. A banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy. Research has proved that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes.
A banana can help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must for our daily diet.
Depression: According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND among people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating a banana. This is because bananas contain tryptophan, one of the twenty common "amino acids" that make up all proteins that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.
PMS: Forget the pills - eat a banana. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.
Anemia: High in iron, bananas can stimulate the production of hemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anemia.
Blood Pressure: This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it the perfect to beat blood pressure. So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the banana industry to make official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.
Brain Power: 200 students at a Twickenham (Middlesex) school were helped through their exams this year by eating bananas at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert.
Constipation: High in fiber, including bananas in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.
Hangovers: One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a banana milkshake, sweetened with honey. The banana calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.
Heartburn: Bananas have a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating a banana for soothing relief.
Morning Sickness: Snacking on bananas between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness.
Mosquito bites: Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of a banana skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation.
Nerves: Bananas are high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system.
Overweight and at work: Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and crisps. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.
Ulcers: The banana is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chronic ulcer cases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.
Temperature control: Many other cultures see bananas as a "cooling" fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In Thailand, for example, pregnant women eat bananas to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature.
Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD): Bananas can help SAD sufferers because they contain the natural mood enhancer, tryptophan.
Smoking: Bananas can also help people trying to give up smoking. The B6, B12 they contain, as well as the potassium and magnesium found in them, help the body recover from the effects of nicotine withdrawal.
Stress: Potassium is a vital mineral, which helps normalize the heartbeat, sends oxygen to the brain and regulates your body's water balance. When we are stressed, our metabolic rate rises, thereby reducing our potassium levels. These can be re-balanced with the help of a high-potassium banana snack.
Strokes: According to research in "The New England Journal of Medicine", eating bananas as part of a regular diet can cut the risk of death by strokes by as much as 40%"
Warts: Those keen on natural alternatives swear that if you want to kill off a wart, take a piece of banana skin and place it on the wart, with the yellow side out. Carefully hold the skin in place with a plaster or surgical tape!
A Banana Contains:
86 calories in a medium banana
1 gram of protein
3 grams of dietary fiber
26.9 g carbohydrates
23.9 g sugar
467 mg Potassium
43 mg Magnesium
27 mg Phosphorus
7 mg Calcium
1.3 mcg Selenium
.4 mg Iron
Also trace amounts of zinc, manganese and copper
95 IU Vitamin A
11 mg Vitamin C
22.5 mcg Folate (important during pregnancy)
.7mcg Vitamin B6
.6 mg Niacin
.31 mg Pantothenic Acid
.67 IU Vitamin E
Remember: If you have a latex allergy, check with your doctor before eating banana
A banana really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrate, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around.
Fun Facts
Peel a banana from the bottom and you won't have to pick the little "stringy things" off of it. That's how the primates do it.
Take your bananas apart when you get home from the store. If you leave them connected at the stem, they ripen faster.
Soooooo.......... "A banana a day keeps the doctor away!"

Feed Your Skin This Summer

1. CARROTS
This crunchy snack is loaded with vitamin A, which helps balance the pH of your skin's surface, making it just acidic enough to fend off harmful bacteria.
Plus National Cancer Institute researchers found that people with the highest intakes of carotenoids pigments that occur naturally in carrots were six times less likely to develop skin cancer than those with the lower intakes.
2. BERRIES
The high-antioxidant content of blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries yield countless healthy-skin benefits.
Not a fan of fleshy fruit? Artichokes, beans, prunes, and pecans are packed with the stuff as well.
3. SALMON, WALNUTS AND FLAX SEEDS
The common healthy-skin ingredients in these foods are essential fatty acids, which not only block harmful irritants, but also act as the passageway for nutrients coming in and out and for waste products to get in and out of the cell.
The stronger that barrier is, the better your skin cells hold moisture.
4. HEALTHY OILS
Good-quality oils, those labeled cold pressed, expeller pressed, or extra virgin, keep skin lubricated and looking and feeling healthier.
But remember even healthy fat is high in calories, so limit yourself to two tablespoons a day.
5. GREEN TEA
The skin-health assets in this drink are matchless. It has anti-inflammatory properties, protects the cell membrane, and may even reduce the risk of some cancers.
An added bonus: Sipping on this super drink can also boost metabolism.
6. SUNFLOWER SEEDS
These tiny seeds pack the most natural vitamin E of any food around.
And no antioxidant is better at slowing down the aging of skin cells to keep you looking younger longer.
7. WATER
Good hydration is key to healthy looking skin, and there's nothing better than pure, clean water to quench your body's thirst, except maybe mineral-rich hard water from the tap.
Take care!...
You'll be looking good in your beautiful tan!
